  1. Happy Mother's Day, my friend! You are a very special Mom :). It's pouring down rain, so I can't plant anything, so I cleaned house. Yuck. Now I have to put winter clothes in totes and get summer cothes out of them. Though, today, it's 50 degrees and windchill is 44. "wonderful " day. Hope you have a good one! And all of your writer friends too!!

  2. Bill and saw all of our children this weekend and the four grandkids. Little Caleb chose Mother's Day to crawl for the first time.

I hope you had a happy day.

  3. We started off the day with a tornado scare! Then, just before dark, the electric went off for a couple of hours. Other than that, it was a quiet day, spent with hubby and the kids. Oh, and we went to town and picked up some carry-out so I didn't have to cook, so that was a nice treat. :o) Now, I have to fool with the pump on my fish tank. When the electric went out, the pump stopped. I hope I can get it working again. My fish is going on 9 years old and I wouldn't want anything to happen to him. He keeps me company in my office. :o)

  4. Devon,
Haapy Mother's Day to you a week late !

Now, to your blog of April 28th:
You said you had to write all day because the internet, cable TV etc. were out. You ended up writing 2,288 words that day. Well, here's another author who did almost the same thing. In the Writer's Digest June issue pg. 41 WD Interviewer asked Sara Gruen:DID YOU REALLY, AS RUMOR HAS IT, LOCK YOURSELF IN A CLOSET TO FINISH Water For Elephants?
Gruen's answer: "I did. I needed an Internet-deprivation pod because I'm very good at writing-avoidance techniques."
Okay, so now I have to get busy examining my hours of the day to see why I'm not producing ANY writing.
    Keep on writing,
    Mary Morrow
